Genuine Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas took responsibility for his mistake against Las Palmas, but is eager to improve despite his uncertain future.
Cristiano Ronaldo rescued Madrid having a late brace, seeing the 10-man hosts play out a 3-3 draw in the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.
Navas, who has routinely been linked with a move away, was at fault for the visitors’ third.
The Costa Rica international was beaten to a pass by Kevin-Prince Boateng, who placed a finish into an open target.
“I am calm. I’m conscious I produced a error,” Navas stated, through Marca.
“I consider within the general game I didn’t play badly, however it is correct that I created a mistake.
“I do not know if I’m going to become in Madrid and I will defend my position until the end, and I’ll continue to perform so the fans can trust me once more.”
A red card to Gareth Bale shortly right after half-time hurt Madrid, who promptly fell behind 3-1 ahead of Ronaldo’s heroics.
While they have a game in hand, Zinedine Zidane’s side slipped behind LaLiga leaders Barcelona – who had earlier thrashed Sporting Gijon.
Navas said: “I just would like to enable the team since LaLiga is still really alive, several matches stay.”
“There are always good times and terrible occasions,” he added.
“We are conscious that items aren’t going very good correct now, but I am confident good instances will come.”
